Rolino

Rolino command-line interface

Your publishing workspace, from the terminal.

Install the Rolino CLI to inspect social posts, calendars, and SEO opportunities from your terminal. Connect coding agents with browser login and scoped access.

1. Install and sign in

Install Node.js 22.19 or later. Then run these commands. Browser login lets you choose your workspace and permissions.

Ready to copy
npm install --global @rolino/cli\nrolino auth login\nrolino auth status\nrolino whoami

The CLI uses getrolino.com by default. For your own instance, add --base-url https://your-rolino-host.

2. Find your brand and its schedule

List your brands, then replace PROJECT_ID with the returned ID. These commands read saved data; they do not change posts.

Ready to copy
rolino projects list\nrolino posts list --project PROJECT_ID\nrolino calendar list --project PROJECT_ID\nrolino integrations health --project PROJECT_ID

3. Bring SEO evidence into your workflow

With SEO access, read saved opportunities and reports before you prepare new content. An unavailable measurement is not a zero result.

Ready to copy
rolino seo opportunities list --project PROJECT_ID\nrolino seo reports list --project PROJECT_ID\nrolino --help

For exact Blog, media, and publication commands, use the CLI command reference.

Prepare, preview, then confirm

Draft creation does not publish. Scheduling and immediate publication have separate preview and execute commands. Inspect the current post version, destination, and time before you confirm an action.

Use the agent guide for write rules, confirmation tokens, and delivery checks. Run rolino doctor to inspect setup problems.

Common questions

Do I need to install MCP too?

No. The CLI works on its own. Only local STDIO MCP needs the separate @rolino/mcp package. Hosted MCP uses a remote server and its own browser authorization.

Can a coding agent use the CLI?

Yes. An agent with shell access can use the same commands within your granted permissions. Use --agent for machine-readable output. Agent mode does not grant permission to write or publish.

How do I fix an expired login?

Run rolino auth status to check the session. Start rolino auth login again if browser approval expired. The browser approval request expires after five minutes; refreshing an old approval page does not start a new login.
