Custom webhook + Rolino
Early accessApproved Markdown articles, delivered to your own endpoint.
Rolino sends each approved article to your HTTPS endpoint as a signed JSON event. The article body is Markdown, with the title, slug, metadata, and approved images beside it. You decide how your service stores or publishes it.
How it works
- 01
Add your endpoint
Enter a public HTTPS endpoint and choose DRAFT or LIVE mode. Rolino shows a signing secret once.
- 02
Verify and test
Check the HMAC-SHA256 signature on the raw body. Answer the connection test with your declared mode.
- 03
Receive articles
Rolino sends draft, publish, update, and unpublish events. Retries use the same event ID, so you never create duplicates.
What Rolino sends
- Markdown body
- Title, slug, and excerpt
- Search description
- Tags, author, and language
- Canonical URL
- Approved images with alt text and size
- Stable article and revision IDs
What Rolino can access
- A signing secret that only your receiver keeps
- No access to your systems. Rolino only sends requests to the endpoint you enter
Rolino delivers an article only after its exact revision and image are approved.
Custom webhook questions
Does Rolino send a .md file?
No. Rolino sends a signed JSON event. The article body is in its markdown field as Markdown text, with the metadata in separate fields.
What happens when my endpoint is down?
Return 429 or a 5xx status. Rolino retries with the same event ID. A 4xx status stops delivery so you can fix the problem.
Is raw HTML included?
No. Rolino sends Markdown and structured fields only, so your receiver controls rendering.
